About Credit 21

Is Credit 21 a licensed money lender in Singapore?

Yes. Credit 21 is a licensed moneylender in Singapore and is listed in the official Registry of Moneylenders under the Ministry of Law. Borrowers should always verify a lender’s business name, licence details and office address through the Registry before applying.

You can start your loan application online. If eligible for in-principle approval, you will still need to visit our office at 10 Anson Road, #01-07 International Plaza, Singapore 079903, near Tanjong Pagar MRT Exit C, for identity verification, contract explanation and signing before funds can be disbursed.

How will I know if I am applying for a loan from a licensed moneylender?

You should check the lender’s business name, licence details and office address against the official Registry of Moneylenders under Singapore’s Ministry of Law.

A licensed moneylender is not allowed to:

  • Use SMS, WhatsApp messages or calls to solicit loans
  • Approve a loan fully without meeting you at their approved place of business
  • Ask you to pay fees before you receive the actual loan money
  • Ask for your Singpass password or retain your personal identity documents

Licensed moneylenders can only advertise through approved channels, such as:

  • Business or consumer directories
  • Their official website
  • Advertisements placed at or within their approved business premises

If you see loan offers claiming to be from Credit 21 through random SMS, WhatsApp, social media messages or online ads, treat them as suspicious and avoid sharing your personal details.

Why do borrowers choose Credit 21 for loan support?

Borrowers choose Credit 21 because they can start their loan application online through Singpass MyInfo for faster data verification, with in-principle approval as fast as within 1 hour, subject to assessment and complete information.

After the online application, borrowers can visit our Tanjong Pagar office at International Plaza for face-to-face verification, document checks, loan contract explanation and signing before disbursement.

Our professional loan officers provide clear guidance throughout the application process, helping borrowers understand the next steps before they decide whether to proceed.

How does Credit 21 help borrowers make responsible loan decisions?

Credit 21 assesses each application based on the borrower’s income, existing financial commitments and repayment ability. This helps ensure that the loan amount offered is suitable for the borrower’s current situation.

Our team will explain the repayment schedule, interest rate, applicable fees and total repayment amount before signing, so borrowers can review the loan terms carefully.

Borrowers are encouraged to borrow only what they need and can repay comfortably.

Is Credit 21 listed on the MinLaw Registry of Moneylenders?

Yes. Credit 21 Pte Ltd is officially listed on the Registry of Moneylenders under the Ministry of Law Singapore. You can verify our licence status directly on the MinLaw website before applying.

Loan Application Privacy & PDPA

Is it safe to submit my personal information when applying for a loan with Credit 21?

Credit 21’s Privacy Policy states that personal data is processed in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). It describes administrative, physical and technical safeguards, including access controls, encryption, software security measures and regular security reviews.

Only use Credit 21’s official website when submitting a loan application. Complete any Singpass MyInfo login yourself and never share your Singpass password or OTP. Review the full Credit 21 Privacy Policy and Data Protection Notice before providing personal information.

What personal data does Credit 21 collect and how is it used?

Depending on your interaction with Credit 21, personal data can include your identity and contact details, residential address, employment information, financial information and loan information.

The Privacy Policy states that this data can be used to verify your identity, assess and administer your application, respond to enquiries, process transactions, manage your relationship with Credit 21 and comply with legal or regulatory requirements. It also explains when information can be disclosed to service providers, agents or relevant authorities for those purposes.

Can I access, correct or withdraw consent for my personal data?

Yes. Credit 21’s published Privacy Policy identifies a Data Protection Officer (DPO) for personal-data enquiries and requests. You can contact the DPO to request access to or correction of your personal data, or to withdraw consent with reasonable notice.

Use the current DPO contact details published in the Privacy Policy. Legal exceptions apply, and withdrawing consent can affect Credit 21’s ability to continue providing a service.

Interest Rates & Fees

What are the interest rates and fees for a loan?

Licensed moneylenders in Singapore must follow the cost limits set by the Ministry of Law. The maximum interest rate is up to 4% per month, while late interest is capped at up to 4% per month on the overdue amount only.

  • Late fee: Up to S$60 for each month of late repayment
  • Admin fee: Up to 10% of the loan principal when the loan is granted
  • Total cost cap: Total interest, late interest, admin fee and late fees cannot exceed the loan principal

Credit 21 will explain your approved loan amount, repayment schedule, interest rate and applicable fees clearly before you sign the loan contract.

What should I check before signing a loan contract?

Before signing, check that you understand the approved loan amount, interest rate, repayment schedule, due dates, late fees, admin fee and total repayment amount.

Confirm that the monthly repayment is manageable based on your income and existing financial commitments. You should also check that your personal details and loan terms are correctly stated in the contract.

If any term is unclear, ask our loan officer to explain it before you sign. Do not proceed until you are comfortable with the loan agreement.

What happens if I cannot repay my loan on time?

If you are facing difficulty with repayment, contact Credit 21 as early as possible. Late repayment may result in late interest and late fees, which can increase your overall repayment amount.

Our team can review your situation and advise you on the next steps based on your loan agreement. Avoid ignoring repayment issues, as this may create further financial stress.

Are there any fees if my loan application is rejected?

No. Licensed moneylenders in Singapore are not permitted to charge any upfront fees before a loan is granted. If a lender asks you to pay a fee before receiving your loan, this is a scam warning sign. Do not proceed.

Credit 21 only charges the administrative fee (capped at 10% of the loan principal) after your loan has been approved and disbursed. There are no fees for enquiries, applications or rejected applications.
